Google Earth Pro - Saving as a .kmz File

Windows/Linux

1. Open Google Earth Pro.

2. Go to File > Save > Save Place As.

3. In the new window, go to the left-hand panel and select a folder.

4. In the "File name" field, type the name of the file.

5. Click Save.

6. Google Earth will save the file as a .kmz file, which includes the KML file.

Mac

1. Open Google Earth Pro.

2. In the left-hand panel under "Places" > "My Places", click Ctrl + left mouse key.

3. Click Save Place As.

4. In the box that opens, in the "Save as" field, type the name of the file.

5. in the "Where" field, choose a location to save to from the drop-down list.

6. Click Save.

7. Google Earth will save the file as a .kmz file, which include the KML file.
