Adding DS + Library Content to Canvas

While working with the DSC, you may want to add some of the DSC content to Canvas.  Below are the instructions on how to do that.  Content we recommend adding to your class Canvas site includes:

  • DSC Student help hours
  • Software tutorials
  • DSC equipment quick start guides

To add content to your Canvas site, follow the steps below.  This process will work for most library content.

  1. In Canvas, go to Modules.

  2. In an already created Module, add a New Resource.

  3. Select " Add External Tool and Click on LibApps Library Content

    2. Content Type: single page
    3. Guide: David Kirk Digital Scholarship Commons by Kristy Golubewski-Davis
    4. Guide Page: Get Help
      LibApps Library Content Selection

  5. Then Click "Embed Content" and "Add Item"
  6. You should see a link at the bottom of that module.
  7. Success!
