Omeka + Neatline

Omeka is a collection management tool for online exhibits. This content management system is specifically designed to input information about objects consistent with professional museum and library metadata schemes (back-end information structures). This tool is particularly useful for digital exhibit projects where you want to create an online exhibit that mirrors the collection style display of a physical exhibit. Anyone can create a limited account at Omeka.net. For classes, please contact us at digitalcommons@ucsc.edu to inquire about setting up an Omeka S Class instance prior to the quarter of your desired class.

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.
The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
