The Library enhances student success through programs supporting the development of critical thinking, information literacy, and research skills in an environment with access to a broad range of student services and opportunities to build community.
Build tools and programs to improve undergraduate information literacy across the curriculum
Raise student awareness of how the Library can contribute to their success
Identify and implement new strategies and resources to break down barriers to student persistence and success
Offer alternative academic training, including experiential learning opportunities to prepare students for success after graduation
Develop objectives, infrastructure, and opportunities for addressing foundational information literacy needs across campus
Engage in partnerships with campus programs that focus on transfer, first-generation, and traditionally underrepresented student populations
Increase opportunities for experiential learning, including internships and student employment opportunities
Promote and support alternatives to high cost textbooks, including open textbooks
Create meaningful and continuing leadership opportunities that engage undergraduate and graduate students in collaborative dialog about how the library can best support student success
