Media Desk in the David Kirk Digital Scholarship Commons

The Media Desk supports the study and teaching of film and digital media, acting, languages, music, and other disciplines. Faculty depend on the Media collections and annually borrow thousands of items for classroom use. Students use the 18 specially equipped viewing, listening and study rooms to complete assignments, as well as to listen to music and view films for fun. Six video workstations and 28 computers complete the wide range of technology used in the Digital Scholarship Commons.

  • The Media Desk is located in Room 0350 on the ground floor of the McHenry Library addition.
  • We maintain media reserves including videotapes, laserdiscs, DVDs, phonographic records, cassette tapes, CDs, and music scores.
