Cruzcat Migration FAQ

Will I be able to place an Interlibrary Loan request?

You will not be able to place new Interlibrary Loan requests, either via the Interlibrary Loan forms or through UC-eLinks Request, on the day of migration, Friday, July 25th. We do anticipate Interlibrary Loan requests to be available again on July 26th. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience while we make these improvements.

Will I be able to pick up a book I requested through Interlibrary Loan?

Yes, please come to the Library Services Desk specified in the email notice you received about your Interlibrary Loan arrival. Either McHenry Library or the Science & Engineering Library will be specified in the email you received.

Will I be able to request items that are stored in NRLF?

No, items are retrieved from our remote storage facility, the Northern Regional Library Facility (NRLF), via Interlibrary Loan requests, and this service will be temporarily unavailable during the migration. If you see this location listed in the Melvyl catalog for a UCSC item and you need to request it, please do so after the migration is complete.

Will I be able to view my Interlibrary Loan materials and requests in “My ILL Requests”?

Yes, you will be able to log in to "My ILL Requests" with your library barcode and view your Interlibrary Loan materials.
