UCSC Interlibrary Loan lends circulating materials to eligible institutions. We participate in regional consortiums and reciprocal agreements. Our symbol is CUZ in OCLC Worldshare. We do not accept requests via email.
If our libraries do not have a current reciprocal agreement, all requests will be assessed the following lending fees:
Loans to academic or public libaries within the US: $20.00
International loans: $60.00
Article scans: $15.00
OCLC IFM is the preferred method of payment for loans. We also accept payment by check with an additional processing fee.
Your library will be charged a minimum of $125.00 per item that is lost while out on loan, in addtion to processing fees. UCSC does not accept replacement copies for lost items.
We request that materials be returned via a trackable method.

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.
The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
