Collection of current and historical financial and economic data covering more than 200 countries extending back to 1265 depending on data series. Includes Eurostat and WorldBank data, and aggregate stock market performance. Current subscription does NOT include Real Estate, U.K. Stock Market, or U.S. Stock Market databases.

The ProQuest Statistical Abstract of the United States is the authoritative and comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic conditions of the United States. Use the Abstract as a convenient volume for statistical reference, and as a guide to statistical sources on the Web. Coverage: Annual volumes can be searched by individual year or all years from 1929 to present.

Access current and cumulative U.S. export and import data (trade statistics) for over 18,000 export commodities and 24,000 import commodities. Annual data from 1992. Monthly data from 2002 (port-level data is only available from 2003 - present)

World development indicators (WDI) is the World Bank's annual compilation of data about development. Provides direct access to development indicators, with time series for 208 countries and 18 country groups from 1960 to 2001.

Find datasets from federal agencies. Site still under construction, but can be helpful for finding data produced by U.S. government agencies.
Gapminder
Promotes sustainable global development and achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Allows access to and crosstabulating of over 200 datasets.
Google Public Data Explorer
Makes large datasets easy to explore, visualize and communicate. Includes visualizations for data from the World Bank, OECD, Eurostat, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and more.
Statista: The Statistics Portal
Register for access to the free web version with a wide range of statistics on social media, technology, selected trade and consumer goods. Provides succinct notes on how to interpret graphs and charts.

Land Acknowledgement

The land on which we gather is the unceded territory of the Awaswas-speaking Uypi Tribe. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band, comprised of the descendants of indigenous people taken to missions Santa Cruz and San Juan Bautista during Spanish colonization of the Central Coast, is today working hard to restore traditional stewardship practices on these lands and heal from historical trauma.

The land acknowledgement used at UC Santa Cruz was developed in partnership with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Chairman and the Amah Mutsun Relearning Program at the UCSC Arboretum.
