How to Checkout a Console Station Key


  1. Find a console in the below tables. You can check out a station key for stations 1-6. Each station key will allow you to play any console within that station.

  1. Bring your UCSC ID, station number, and console name to the Science & Engineering Library front desk to check out your station keys.

  2. Locate and use your key to unlock the Video Game Lab. This room is located on the main floor of the Science and Engineering Library, down the hallway and to the left of the Dougherty Reading Room.

  3. Play with your own games or checkout a video game from the collection
 

Frequently Asked Questions


Each station key can be checked-out for up to 4 hours. To renew the key, consult the front desk and check out the key again.
Video game and console check-out closes 15 minutes before the library closes. Make sure to confirm the library hours.
You can book any key up to 24 hours in advance in-person at the front desk.
You follow the same steps for check out, but only one person in the group will need to provide their UCSC ID to check out a key.
Return the keys to the front desk.
During check out, ask the front desk to obtain console accessories.
