Kresge 25—Successful Transfer to the Research University

Interlibrary Loan

What if you've gotten a result in an article database that doesn't provide the full text of the article? Don't despair—and certainly don't think you have to pay!—if the full text of a book, book chapter, or article isn't available at UCSC. At no cost to you as a student, the Interlibrary Loan service can obtain chapters and articles scanned by other libraries (even outside the UC system) that will be sent to your e-mail inbox! Just use the UC-eLinks button and select 'Request this from the library.'

Request a Purchase

If an e-book you need for an assignment isn't available at UCSC, request the Library purchase it by using the Recommend-a-Purchase form. (And once libraries reopen to users, you'll be able to get physical materials lent by other libraries via the Interlibrary Loan service.)
